Canada lags on carbon cuts as oceans suffer: Editorial

Yes. We do. We *are* lagging. I won't blame it all on the Conservatives, but they must shoulder a large part of the blame.

The question, really, is what are Canadians themselves going to do about it? Two things. The first is to alter our own ways of living - driving less, using less, just generally becoming greener overall. The second is to take action this year in our election. educate yourself to make the best choice, let the candidates know that this is important to you, help out the candidate of your choice.

We have to stop being passive.

“Yet, despite the ocean’s critical role in regulating climate — and providing food security and livelihoods for millions of people — international climate negotiations have only minimally considered impacts on the ocean.”
