Anthrax confirmed as cause of death in Saskatchewan bison

I wonder how much of this can be blamed on climate change. Anthrax occurs naturally, but if it is exacerbated by changes in soil moisture, and soil moisture is affected by climate, well... I think it is a valid question to at least ask.

Any thoughts?

The ministry said anthrax is caused by naturally occurring bacteria Bacillus anthracis. A buildup of the bacteria on pastures is caused by changes in soil moisture such as flooding and drying. The spores concentrate in sloughs and potholes. It can survive for decades.
