Doctors urged to look for eating disorder in young kids

This is a slippery slope. While I have no doubt that this is a real disorder, and that this article may help some people to get their children diagnosed, I can also see a huge number of parents with perfectly normal kids (read: fussy eaters) panicking and self diagnosing using Dr. Google. People - see your doctor. And then listen to him. Get a second opinion if you need to, but listen to people who devote their lives to understanding children's health.

The condition is called avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder. People who suffer from it may eschew foods with too much texture or refuse to eat all but a few foods. The disordered eating patterns can lead to other health problems.
