Cut university enrolment by 30%, expand colleges, report urges

So - what do you think? On the one hand, university degrees have gotten commoditized and cheapened - IIRC one car rental agency requires its counter staff have a business degree for gawds sake. On the other hand, given the funding source you could almost know what the conclusion would be before you read the report.

My knee jerk reaction is "bullshit" but I have to admit that there may be some sense to this. What about you?

Canada would be better off if universities admitted 30 per cent fewer students every year and the college and polytechnical system got more of a focus, a report commissioned by the Canadian Council for Chief Executives says.
