Budding Ottawa scientists pushing limits

I love science fair season - there are so many really bright kids out there, with so many excellent ideas, that I have every reason to be excited about the future. And, well, a little embarrassed at how little initiative I had at their age.

The city’s best and brightest young scientific minds put their work on display at the Ottawa Regional Science Fair, with projects ranging from new methods to identify and treat cancer to new therapies for Parkinson’s disease to solar water purifiers to something called “robotic teleportation through Skype.” The science fair was held Friday and Saturday at Carleton University.
