Chinese scientists dream of Arctic research outpost in the North

I was happy to see the headline. The kind of thing that highlights our own gov'ts "grossly insufficient" investment in Northern science. Then I saw that their interest is specifically centered around natural resource extraction and, well, I think we're screwing up our own environment as it is. Other countries have no real incentive to keep out environment healthy so I see no reason to encourage them.
