EPA: Keystone, Canadian oilsands -> higher carbon emissions

So, either this is damning evidence against Keystone, or it's damning evidence of political interference with the EPA. Take your pick, 'cuz both sides will be making their claims soon.

The environmental agency said the State Department should “revisit” its previous conclusions about the environmental impact of Keystone XL, given the recent plunge in oil prices.

The EPA also said developing Canadian oilsands would increase greenhouse gas emissions in its assessment of the project. Previously, the State Department has suggested the impact would be minimal. President Obama has said repeatedly he would reject the pipeline if it’s seen to be a contributor to GHGs.
