UAlberta science experiment rockets into space storm over Norway

Thats a pretty dramatic title, but it sounds like a pretty cool thing to do. "The sky basically exploded" - how often does anyone get to say something like that?

The 10-metre rocket, called ICI-4, made its 60-second ascent to space Thursday. When it reached the right altitude, explosives blasted open doors so the rocket’s arms could extend data-gathering sensors into a space storm. The ICI-4 rocket had eight minutes to take measurements and radio results to Earth before the rocket and its payload re-entered the atmosphere and, a minute later, splashed down and sank into the Norwegian Sea.
