Save the Atlas rocket at the Science and Tech museum

I doubt the John Glenn story (it's not like they were big into reusable rockets back then), but I agree - why not just lie it on it's side?

The other issue is that I’ve seen reports that this Atlas was the one to carry U.S. astronaut John Glenn into orbit. If that is accurate, this rocket is of even more historical relevance.

Why not lay the rocket on its side on a display on the front lawn? That way visitors will get a sense about how large the rocket is and can get an even closer look at it.
