UPEI professor giving workshops on fractions, decimals and multiplication

These are some of the most basic concepts in math - what does this say about the education system that these adults need refreshers? (Kudos to the people taking the courses for wanting to understand these concepts BTW)

The sessions deal with some of the reoccurring problems often faced by people who find math difficult, topics such as decimals, fractions and multiplication.

Tess Miller, an associate professor of mathematics in the Faculty of Education, is leading the free workshops. She said they come out of a talk called the State of Mathematics Address given to the P.E.I. Home and School Federation last January.
