Vancouver Aquarium Commends New Recommendations by CDN Council on Animal Care

Aaaaaannnnddddd.... PETA rebuttal in 3...2....

The process undertaken by the Canadian Council on Animal Care to develop recommendations was very detailed and thorough,” says Wright. “We examined best practices in Canada and around the world and developed recommendations based upon an interdisciplinary approach that addresses the many needs of marine mammals in human care.”

Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA-AZAC) will immediately adopt and implement CCAC recommendations as part of its rigorous routine inspection and accreditation program as the recommendations promote best practices in the care and welfare of marine mammals maintained in Canadian facilities.
