Canadian Medical Association Journal: CIHR reforms contradict consultant reports

Y'know - I am getting really tired of having to post stories where our Government is ignoring scientific advice to the detriment of Canada's science and innovation capabilities. But these things need to be aired so that we can make informed decisions at the ballot box.

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is kneecapping its scientific outreach capabilities, these advisors say. And in doing so, they add, CIHR has ignored warnings and advice from the two expert panels it convened to lead scientific consultations on its reforms.
