EU axes chief scientific adviser position. Ignorance continues apace.

When the world is at its most technologically and scientifically complex, when it faces it's greatest challenge to modern civilization, when it is celebrating one of the greatest scientific accomplishments of, well, ever - that is when the EU chooses to axe it's top scientific adviser.

With the scientific ignorance on display in the Canadian, Australian and US governments, I looked at Europe as a bastion of sanity and hope. Apparently, I was wrong.

And sad.
